Overview of micronutrients and detoxification

Our body needs both: macronutrients and micronutrients. The macronutrients include all substances that provide the body with energy, i.e. fats, proteins and, of course, carbohydrates. Micronutrients, on the other hand, include minerals, vitamins, amino acids and omega fatty acids. But why does the body actually need these substances?
